Some Mornings Just Start Like…
Some days ease you into the morning.
And some days, the morning wakes up and chooses violence. ( so to speak)
My Wednesday started like, I walked in to check on the furry menace we’re babysitting (Cashew… the bunny who has fully taken over our guest room), and while I was in there, my coffee cup decided to launch itself off the Nespresso machine. Said machine of course proceeds to keep running.
So now I’ve got coffee running down the cabinets and all over the floor before I’ve even really started my day. And the irony. this is all happening before I’ve had coffee.
Yeah, so this was a fun start to the day.
Let’s add to this the fact last night’s sleep was not the best thanks to Loki being a stinky boy and needing a middle-of-the-night trip outside…
And we mustn’t forget, sciatic nerve that has apparently decided the right side of my body should feel like one long, ongoing charley horse from my lower back down to my knee.
But heck, I’m doing fine, everything’s just fine. Seriously at this point, I’m checking how much longer Mercury is in retrograde… because something feels a little suspish.
Next, during my usual quiet time this morning, I found myself having one of those honest conversations with God. The kind where you’re like… “I really need to see some movement here… what are we doing?”
Well, I’ve learned over the years…
God does have a sense of humor.
Because not five minutes later, I got an email from Poshmark that an apron from a FabFitFun box — one I was never going to use and neither one of the kids wanted — had sold. So yeah, Not exactly what I had in mind…but technically, I did sell something today 😄
The ongoing theme this week seems to be, some days just don’t go the way you planned. Some days start messy, feel off, and you wonder how the rest of it is going to unfold.
And most days, there’s not a choice I still show up and do the things.
Today, I cleaned up the coffee, gave Cashew his Metamucil bisckie, finally sat down and had a cup of coffee and proceeded with my day.
The rest of the day (fingers crossed) will be business as usual. Getting some business things done, straightening the house before Robert gets home and maybe an iced coffee or 2. You know, the normal things.
Let me know, because I’d really love to hear if you’ve ever had these mornings too?
