Have you ever have one of those stretches where it’s just one thing after another?
Not big, life-altering things( though some sure feel like they are)… but just enough little things stacking up that you start to wonder if fate playing a joke on you.
If you have, welcome to my week.
It started with the kind of stuff we didn’t plan for—things like a broken leaf spring on the trailer when we got to the festival, full black water tank paying for a pump out and them never showing up and all the fun that comes with the neighbor in campground who thinks he’s a DJ at 2 am evre ynight. You know… the stuff that makes you stop and go, “really?”
We got the leaf spring fixed in the campground, found a pump out at a campground about halfway home and the DJ is probably still spinning his noise for nobody.
But wait just a minute… that was just the start of the week. Suddenly yesterday, Facebook decided it was my turn.
One minute everything was fine, and the next minute I was locked out of my accounts. Facebook, Instagram, Messenger… all of it. Gone.
Which, if you run your business online, you know that this is a pretty quick way to get your attention. Because it’s not just my login. It’s my contacts, my conversations, my groups, my normal day-to-day way of doing things.
But after that initial “you’ve got to be kidding me?” moment…
I realized don’t really have a choice.
I had to just sit down and figure it out.
So I emailed people. I let them know what was going on.
I created a new Facebook and Instagram accounts
then I started trying to reconnect, one person at a time.
None of this is fun, but I did it because that’s just what I had do.
And somewhere in the middle of all of this, it kind of hit me…
This is just life…
little harder.
I will say… I’m really thankful I had a lot of my contacts saved in my CRM so I could still reach people when everything else went down. You can check it out below.
